Sylvia Häusermann studied psychology (B.Sc.) with a focus on social, economic, and decision psychology (M.Sc.) at the University of Basel.

Due to her strong interest in psychological and economic research questions, she decided to do a PhD in Marketing where she can combine those interests in her research. She is doing her PhD under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Andrea Giuffredi-Kähr (Marketing in the Digital Economy).

Sylvia started her PhD at the Department of Business Administration in February 2021 where she is working on a research project about “Narcissistic, Machiavellian, and Psychopathic Brands: Measurement, Outcomes, and Contingency Factors” funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF).
