Research Associate at the ETH Zurich

Mara’s research is on the topic of biopsychological stress in settings where the use of digital technologies (computers, mobile phones, wearables) is prevalent, e.g., office workers and adolescents. In particular, she investigates how these technologies and the unobtrusive multimodal data they collect can be leveraged using data science and machine learning techniques. The aim of her research, which is part of a larger interdisciplinary project, is the development of unobtrusive, personalized and digital stress monitoring solutions as well as the design and delivery of personalized and digital stress reducing interventions.

She holds a Master’s degree in Mathematics from the ETH Zurich and has gained practical experience through trainee programs at KPMG and Mobiliar before starting her doctoral studies at the Mobiliar Lab for Analytics in February 2019.
