Georg’s research interests are located at the intersection of platforms, market system dynamics and consumer culture. In his dissertation, he focuses on emerging platform markets, where users serve consumers. In one project, he investigates how the different actors involved (the platform leaders, providers and consumers) shape the development such platform markets. To that end, he is studying the accommodation and travel platform market Airbnb using a range of qualitative methods and data sources.
