Dr. Patrick Bachmann is joining as a post-doc having completed his PhD at the Chair for Marketing and Market Research, UZH, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. René Algesheimer. His research focuses on developing models for improving customer lifetime value and customer relationship management, network lifetime value and social customer relationship, and was recently accepted for publication at Marketing Science (IF: 3.716, FT Research Rank: 34).

Joel Persson and Svenja Bergmann come from the Chair of Management Information Systems, ETH Zurich, and are joining the group as PhD students. Joel’s research focuses on statistical and machine learning methods for policy evaluation and data-driven decision-making in marketing and healthcare. His research has been published in PNAS (IF: 9.412) and KDD, the premier conference for applied data science, and featured at the World Economic Forum. Svenja does research in data analytics and machine learning for decision support systems in close collaboration with AMAG, the largest importer and dealer of automobiles in Switzerland. Through her industrial collaboration, her research directly contributes to marketing and business operations in practice.
